UW-River Falls Students and Alumni Compete in Alice in Dairyland Finals
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) is prominently represented in the upcoming Alice in Dairyland finals, with half of the finalists being current or former students. Gabby Huitema, a senior majoring in animal science, along with alumni Michelle Stangler and Jessica Moor, are among the six finalists competing for the title. The Alice in Dairyland role involves promoting Wisconsin's agriculture industry on behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Huitema, who has a background in agriculture advocacy, is passionate about educating the public on food origins. Stangler, with a degree in journalism and agricultural marketing, has experience in agricultural storytelling, while Moor, a business administration graduate, has been active in 4-H and FFA. The finals will include various events such as agribusiness tours and media interviews, culminating in the selection of the 79th Alice in Dairyland.
