Fort Worth Police Chase Results in Driver's Death and Passenger's Injury
A police chase in Fort Worth, Texas, ended tragically early Sunday morning when the driver involved was killed and a passenger was injured. The incident began around 2:34 a.m. when Fort Worth Police officers observed a car traveling on I-35 South near Rosedale Street without headlights. The vehicle collided with another car and failed to stop, prompting officers to initiate a traffic stop. However, the driver did not comply and continued to flee. The pursuit continued as the driver hit a second vehicle and exited the interstate onto Tarver Road, where officers temporarily lost sight of the car. The vehicle was later found crashed off the roadway. Inside, officers discovered two men: the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger who sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identity of the deceased driver has not been released.
