Two Men Charged After Seizure of 49 Reptiles from Hamden Warehouse
Two men from New Haven, Brian Roman and Tyler Foster, have been charged following the seizure of 49 reptiles, including 46 venomous snakes, from a warehouse in Hamden, Connecticut. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's Environmental Conservation Police, along with federal and state agencies, executed a search warrant on June 24, 2026. The reptiles, which included various species of rattlesnakes and a Cape cobra, are prohibited in Connecticut without permits. The animals were safely removed and are being held at a licensed facility.
