Discovery of Human Footprints in Utah Raises Questions About Cambrian Fossils
In 1968, William Meister, a fossil collector, discovered a rock slab in Antelope Springs, Utah, containing what appeared to be a human footprint embedded with trilobite fossils. This discovery, known as the Meister Print, has been preserved at the Creation Evidence Museum in Texas. The rock, dated to the Cambrian period approximately 500 million years ago, predates the existence of vertebrates, let alone humans. The trilobites, marine arthropods that thrived during the Cambrian, were found crushed beneath the footprint, suggesting a perplexing scenario where a human-like footprint was left in a time when humans did not exist.
