San Francisco Police Rescue Pitbull Trapped in Railway Tunnel for Two Days
A two-year-old pitbull named Roo was rescued after spending two days trapped in a San Francisco railway tunnel. Initially spotted by Caltrain operators, Roo was thought to have been fatally struck by a train. However, police officers later found him alive and led him to safety. Roo, a recent adoptee, had run away from home after being spooked. Fortunately, he was microchipped, which facilitated his reunion with his owner. The incident highlights the community's responsiveness to animals in distress, as seen in a recent rescue of another dog from the San Francisco Bay.
