European Investment Bank Supports Poland's Energy Transition with €260 Million for Wind Farm
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has committed over €260 million to finance the construction of Poland's second-largest onshore wind farm. This project, led by power utility TAURON, will establish a 190 MW power plant in Western Poland, expected to supply clean energy to nearly 200,000 households. The wind farm, comprising over 50 turbines, is a significant step in Poland's energy transition, aligning with the European Union's climate action goals. The EIB's investment covers more than half of the project's total cost, highlighting its role in supporting renewable energy initiatives. This project is part of TAURON's broader strategy to achieve climate neutrality by 2040.
