European Parliament Proposes Trilateral Chamber of Commerce for Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova
The European Parliament has proposed the creation of a Trilateral Chamber of Commerce involving Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova. This initiative aims to facilitate joint ventures, public-private partnerships, and reconstruction consortia among the three countries. The proposal is seen as a modern-day Marshall Plan, with Romania and Moldova playing key logistical and financial roles in the recovery process. The initiative has garnered support from over 250 institutions across the three countries, highlighting a shift from bilateral to triangular economic relations. The chamber is expected to help companies form partnerships that will aid in the reconstruction of Ukraine, which requires an estimated $588 billion over the next decade.
