Montgomery County Community College Receives National Recognition for Nonpartisan 2026 Voting Engagement Plan
Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) has been nationally recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge for its nonpartisan democratic engagement action plan for the 2026 election cycle. MCCC earned the Highly Established Action Plan Seal, scoring 28.4 out of a possible 32 points based on the Strengthening American Democracy Action Planning Guide (SADG) Rubric. This rubric assesses various areas including leadership, commitment, goals, and strategy. MCCC is one of only 233 campuses to receive this recognition for the upcoming election cycle. The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge is a national nonpartisan initiative by Civic Nation, a 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to empowering colleges and universities in nonpartisan student democratic engagement. Michael Bettinger, MCCC Chief of Staff, highlighted the organization's role in providing guidance and best practices for institutionalizing civic engagement.
