California Candidates Make Final Push for Votes Ahead of Primary Elections
Candidates across California are making their final appeals to voters ahead of the state's primary elections. In the Los Angeles mayoral race, incumbent Karen Bass is actively engaging with voters, emphasizing her plans to address the city's affordability and homelessness issues. Her main opponents, city councilmember Nithya Raman and reality TV star Spencer Pratt, are also campaigning vigorously. Raman is advocating for change and accountability, while Pratt focuses on issues stemming from the Palisades Fire. In the gubernatorial race, Democratic candidate Xavier Becerra is campaigning on maintaining momentum against billionaire Tom Steyer, who is targeting the youth vote. Republican candidate Steve Hilton is positioning himself as a change candidate, urging voters not to support other Republicans who might inadvertently aid Democrats.
