Nicolás Maduro Strengthens Legal Defense with High-Profile Attorney Addition
Nicolás Maduro, the former Venezuelan president, has bolstered his legal defense team by adding Anna Estevao, a lawyer known for her role in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' criminal trial. Estevao joins Maduro's defense as he faces charges of narco-terrorism and weapons offenses in the United States. The addition of Estevao follows the move of Maduro's lead attorney, Barry Pollack, to the law firm Harris Trzaskoma LLP, where Estevao is a partner. Pollack, who has a reputation for handling complex legal cases, expressed confidence in the firm's ability to manage the unprecedented legal challenges presented by Maduro's case. Estevao's previous experience includes successfully defending Combs against severe charges, although he was convicted on lesser counts. The legal proceedings for Maduro are being overseen by US District Judge Alvin Hellerstein in New York.
