Wawa Recalls Beverages in Five States Due to Possible Milk Allergen Risk
Wawa has initiated a recall of four of its 16-ounce beverages across five states, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia, due to a potential undeclared milk allergen. The affected products include Wawa Iced Tea Lemon, Wawa Iced Tea Diet Lemon, Wawa Diet Lemonade, and Wawa Fruit Punch. This recall was prompted by a temporary equipment issue that may have introduced milk into these beverages, as identified by the company and reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company has removed the affected products from store shelves and disposed of them. The FDA warns that individuals with milk allergies could experience serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported so far.
