School Bus Crash in Jefferson City Injures Students and Drivers
A school bus carrying students from the Jefferson City School District was involved in a rear-end collision on State Route T, resulting in injuries to multiple individuals. The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. on April 16, near the intersection with Parkview Road. A 2009 Chevrolet Blazer struck the back of the school bus while it was picking up a student. At the time of the crash, the bus was transporting 17 students along with the driver. Emergency responders evaluated all passengers on the scene. Two students, a 13-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, sustained minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals, where they are in stable condition. Both drivers involved in the crash also suffered minor injuries and received medical treatment. The remaining 15 students were assessed by EMS personnel and did not require hospitalization. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
