Wildfires Near Los Angeles Force Thousands to Evacuate
Two wildfires, the Bain fire and the Verona fire, are spreading rapidly in areas east of Los Angeles, California, fueled by gusty winds and dry conditions. According to Capt. John Clingingsmith Jr. of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection in Riverside, the larger Bain fire has already led to the evacuation of approximately 7,200 people as of Tuesday.
