U.S. Approves $150 Million Bell 505 Helicopter Sale to Philippines for Pilot Training
The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopters to the Armed Forces of the Philippines. This sale, valued at approximately $150 million, is intended to enhance pilot training capabilities. The package includes spare parts, sustainment, and associated equipment, as well as Bell 505 Veris flight simulators and an integrated logistics support package for five years. The sale will also provide training for 22 pilots and maintenance personnel, focusing on various operational and technical skills. This transaction is part of the Foreign Military Sales program, aimed at strengthening military ties and capabilities.
