Ethio Telecom Launches Digital Signature Platform to Enhance Government Services Access
Ethio Telecom, a state-owned telecommunications company, has introduced a national digital signature platform named 'teleSign' to facilitate document authentication and attorney licensing. This initiative is in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the Federal Documents Authentication and Registration Service. The platform aims to interconnect government systems, creating a trusted digital signature infrastructure that allows Ethiopian citizens, both domestically and internationally, to securely access government services online. The teleSign platform integrates advanced AI-powered video-based identification and liveness detection with Ethiopia’s Fayda National Digital ID system, ensuring secure remote authentication without the need for physical presence.
