Family's Tragic Loss Highlights Need for Childhood Cancer Awareness
A family from Barnegat, New Jersey, is sharing their heartbreaking story of losing their toddler, Mason, to a rare form of leukemia. Mason was initially diagnosed with T-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) after a series of concerning symptoms, including a high white blood cell count. Despite entering remission, Mason's condition worsened, and he was later diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a rare lineage switch. After enduring aggressive treatments, Mason passed away in February 2025. His family is now dedicated to raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer research, emphasizing the need for better treatment protocols.
