Connecticut Man Arrested for Impersonating Officer During Medical Call
In Tolland, Connecticut, a man named Kurt Hoss was arrested for impersonating a police officer during a medical call. On August 8, 2026, state police responded to a medical emergency on Baxter Road, where Hoss arrived in a blue Mazda SUV equipped with red and blue flashing lights. Claiming to be a federal officer, Hoss offered assistance but left the scene when questioned about his credentials. Police later found his vehicle parked with lights still activated. Upon further investigation, Hoss admitted to working for 'special forces' but failed to provide valid law enforcement identification. His vehicle contained multiple light bars, a radio scanner, and handcuffs, all of which were seized as evidence. Hoss was charged with impersonating a police officer and improper use of colored lights, held on a $25,000 bond, and arraigned at Rockville Superior Court.
