NASA Announces Artemis III Crew for 2027 Moon Mission Docking Test
NASA has announced the crew for its upcoming Artemis III mission, scheduled for 2027. The mission will include U.S. astronauts Andre Douglas, Frank Rubio, and Randy Bresnik, along with Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano from the European Space Agency. This mission will involve a docking demonstration with three spacecraft in Earth's orbit. The crew will test moon landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin, marking a significant step in NASA's Artemis program. Randy Bresnik, a retired U.S. Marine Corps colonel and experienced astronaut, will serve as the mission commander. Luca Parmitano, who has previously flown to space twice, will be the pilot. Frank Rubio, known for his record-breaking 371-day spaceflight, and Andre Douglas, a first-time astronaut, will serve as mission specialists.
