Roger Stone Lobbies for Vape Firm Ecto World Amidst Legal Challenges and Regulatory Scrutiny
Roger Stone, a long-time adviser to President Trump, has been retained as a lobbyist by Ecto World, a vape product distributor facing multiple legal challenges and accusations of illegal marketing to minors. Ecto World, which operates under the name Demand Vape, has been accused by New York state and city officials of illegally distributing and selling flavored disposable nicotine products, many of which are produced in China. New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced an investigation found the company illegally shipped massive quantities of vape products, with criminal charges to be pursued. New York State Attorney General Letitia James also sued Ecto World and other vape companies for targeting children and fueling the youth vaping epidemic.
