Man Accused in Las Cruces Crime Spree, Including Drive-by Shooting, Arrested in El Paso Following Burglary
Jesus Angel Cortez, a 26-year-old man from Sunland Park, has been arrested in El Paso, Texas, after allegedly breaking into a home and locking himself in a bathroom. This arrest follows a crime spree in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where Cortez is accused of multiple felony charges. According to the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD), Cortez allegedly shot at a car, injuring a 34-year-old man and his 11-year-old son at the intersection of South Solano Drive and Missouri Avenue.
