Kansas City Man Charged with Multiple Thefts from Victoria's Secret in Platte County
Roosevelt R. Collins III, a 49-year-old Kansas City man, is facing charges in Platte County, Missouri, for allegedly stealing nearly $800 worth of perfume from a Victoria's Secret store across three separate incidents. According to the probable cause statement, store security contacted police on March 23 to report the thefts and provided surveillance footage. The video evidence reportedly shows Collins concealing perfume in his pants or a bag before leaving the store without paying. The incidents occurred on February 26, March 1, and March 6, with merchandise valued at approximately $160, $240, and $400, respectively. When confronted by a detective on April 15 during a meeting with his probation officer, Collins initially denied the allegations but later confessed to the thefts. He is currently being held on a $15,000 bond.
