Venezuela and Barbados Enhance Cooperation in Energy and Tourism
Venezuela's acting head of state, Delcy Rodríguez, and Barbados' Prime Minister, Mia Mottley, have agreed to strengthen bilateral relations in energy, agriculture, education, and tourism. During a meeting in Bridgetown, they discussed initiatives such as food production collaboration, energy investments, and language exchange programs. Rodríguez invited Barbados to invest in Venezuela's oil and gas fields to ensure energy security for Barbados. They also explored renewable energy opportunities, including solar panel manufacturing. Additionally, the leaders agreed to expand Spanish language education in Barbados and English language training in Venezuela. Tourism was another focal point, with plans to increase flights and establish maritime connections between the two countries.
