Search Continues for Jet Skier Missing in Long Beach After Sunday Incident
Authorities in Long Beach are continuing their search for a jet skier who disappeared on Sunday. The Long Beach Fire Department and U.S. Coast Guard responded to 911 calls around 10 p.m. Sunday regarding two missing jet skiers. Lifeguard crews rescued one woman from the water near the Long Beach breakwall, who was subsequently hospitalized in stable condition. The search for the second jet skier, identified as 53-year-old Paul Anthony Carbullido Jr., resumed on Monday morning. An empty jet ski was found around 1:15 a.m., and a second one around 1:45 a.m., but no person was nearby. Carbullido was last seen in the Pacific Ocean, east of the Queens Gate Entrance Channel in Long Beach, around 7 p.m. after separating from a personal watercraft.
