TGH Cancer Institute Hosts International Symposium on Microbes, Genes, and Cancer
The Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Cancer Institute, in collaboration with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and the Global Virus Network, hosted the 'Microbes, Genes & Cancer' Symposium in Tampa. This event brought together international leaders in oncology, virology, and immunology to discuss the intersection of microbes, genetics, and immune pathways in cancer development and treatment. The symposium also marked the 50th anniversary of the discovery of Interleukin-2 (IL-2), a pivotal breakthrough in cancer immunotherapy.
