U.S. Congress Engages with Montenegro on Strategic Partnerships and Historical Ties
During a working visit to the United States Congress, Nina Ofner Bokan, the special envoy of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, engaged with several U.S. congressmen and senior officials. The discussions focused on strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and strategic partnerships between Montenegro and the United States. Ofner Bokan conveyed Mandić's views on the shared history of suffering between the Serbian and Jewish peoples and the long-standing alliance with the American people. Meetings were held with congressmen recognized as allies of the Jewish people, including Joe Wilson and Keith Self. Additionally, Ofner Bokan met with senior representatives of Congressmen Brian Jack, Robert Aderholt, and Josh Gottheimer, as well as Senator Jim Risch, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs.
