Kenninghall Wildfire Damages Three Properties as Fire Spreads from Field
A wildfire in Kenninghall, near Diss, Norfolk, has caused significant damage to three properties after spreading from a field. The fire began around 14:30 BST on Sunday and quickly engulfed nearby homes. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service dispatched eight crews to the scene, successfully extinguishing the blaze by approximately 16:15. Although no injuries were reported, aerial images revealed that the roofs of two bungalows were completely destroyed. The local village hall was opened to provide shelter for residents affected by the incident. This event is part of a series of fires in the region, with crews responding to over 20 similar incidents on the same day, attributed to the exceptionally dry weather conditions.
