French Broad Chocolates PBC, a North Carolina-based company, has issued a recall for its Bette's Bake Sale Bonbon Collections due to undeclared walnuts. The recall affects 6-, 12-, and 24-piece boxes sold between April 14-20, 2026. The issue arose from a labeling error where the labels for Walnut Fudge and Peach Cobbler bonbons were switched, potentially posing a risk to individuals with walnut allergies. The recall was announced by the Food and Drug Administration on April 24, 2026. No illnesses have been reported so far. The affected products were distributed in 40 states, including major markets like California, New York, and Texas. Consumers are advised to discard the chocolates or return them for a full refund.
