Washington County Officials Launch Public Survey to Shape Future Parks Funding
Washington County officials are inviting residents to participate in a public survey aimed at shaping the future of local parks, trails, and preserved lands. This initiative is part of an update to the County’s Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan, a strategic document that guides the allocation of funding for recreation facilities, programs, and conservation efforts over the next five years. The survey, which is open until July 24, includes a questionnaire and an interactive map for residents to provide feedback on existing parks and suggest new amenities. The county emphasizes the importance of these preserved lands, which include parks, trails, waterways, forests, farms, and recreation facilities, in enhancing residents' quality of life and attracting visitors.
