OranjeWind Partners with Purus for Long-Term Offshore Wind Vessel Charter
The OranjeWind offshore wind project, a collaboration between RWE and TotalEnergies, has entered into a five-year charter agreement with Purus for the use of the construction and service operation vessel (CSOV) named Purus Power. This vessel will be instrumental in supporting both planned and unplanned maintenance activities at the OranjeWind offshore wind farm. The agreement includes an option for extension, highlighting the long-term commitment to maintaining the wind farm's operations. Purus Power is specifically designed for offshore wind operations, featuring accommodations, office space, meeting rooms, a gym, and a canteen for maintenance personnel. It is equipped with a walk-to-work system that facilitates safe transfers between the vessel and wind turbines.
