Petland Highlights Animal Welfare Contributions and Community Support
Petland, a company based in Chillicothe, has announced significant contributions to animal welfare organizations, coinciding with Giving Tuesday. The company, along with its charitable arm, Petland Charities, has been actively promoting responsible breeding standards and pet care across the United States. Petland has co-hosted 11 annual breeder symposiums in Berlin, Ohio, in collaboration with the AKC, USDA, the Ohio Department of Agriculture, and the Ohio Forum for Companion Animals. The company has facilitated over 500 on-site breeder visits and is committed to advancing science-based breeding practices, sourcing from breeders certified through Purdue University's Canine Care Certified program. Petland and Petland Charities have pledged $300,000 towards a new animal shelter for the Ross County Humane Society and donated over $219,000 to local shelters.
