Ten Nations Join Ukraine's FREYJA Anti-Ballistic Shield Initiative to Enhance Defense Capabilities
Ukraine has announced that ten countries have joined its FREYJA integrated air and anti-ballistic missile defense program. This initiative aims to create a collaborative European anti-ballistic system, with additional international partners expected to join. The coalition includes Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine. The program involves domestic production of interceptor missiles and launch units, while international partners will provide essential components and technology. The initiative seeks to establish a cost-effective alternative to American-made Patriot systems and enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities amid ongoing conflict with Russia.
