Haven Humane Society Achieves Record Animal Adoptions in 2025 Amid Capacity Challenges
Haven Humane Society in Shasta County reported a record number of animal adoptions in 2025, with 2,134 animals finding new homes, marking the highest adoption rate in the shelter's history. Despite this success, the shelter continues to operate at critical capacity. Additionally, Haven Humane's kitten nursery, one of the few in California, helped 358 kittens survive and grow, thanks to donor support.
