ASEAN Foundation Continues Community-Building Efforts and Launches Scam Ready ASEAN Program
The ASEAN Foundation is actively supporting community-building initiatives across Southeast Asia, focusing on promoting ASEAN identity, human resource development, people-to-people interaction, and collaboration among various stakeholders. Established during ASEAN’s 30th Anniversary Commemorative Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on December 15, 1997, the Foundation aims to address inadequate shared prosperity and awareness within the ASEAN community. It works across six thematic areas: arts and culture, business and community engagement, education, environment, media development, and community building. The Foundation provides support through community projects, trainings, scholarships, fellowships, internships, exchanges, and organizes meetings, conferences, roundtables, and workshops.
