Sun 'n Fun 2026 Showcases Diverse Aircraft Debuts, Including NASA's Super Guppy
The Sun 'n Fun Aerospace Expo 2026 in Lakeland, Florida, featured a variety of aircraft making their debut appearances. Notably, NASA's Super Guppy, a bespoke transport aircraft originally developed during the Apollo era, was showcased. This aircraft is known for its unique design, which includes parts from various other aircraft, and its ability to carry large spacecraft sections. The event also highlighted the TBM 980, a new aircraft from Daher, which made its airshow debut. The TBM 980 features advanced avionics and connectivity systems, and Daher has already delivered ten units in the U.S. market. Additionally, Piper announced a new composite seven-blade propeller for its M700 Fury, which was on display at the expo. The event saw a significant increase in advance ticket sales and exhibitor participation compared to previous years.
