Overland Park Chiropractor Pleads Guilty to Health Care Fraud
Kenya Laser, a 35-year-old chiropractor from Overland Park, Kansas, has pleaded guilty to health care fraud, according to federal prosecutors. Laser was enrolled as a provider with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) and was authorized to submit claims for chiropractic services. However, authorities stated that from approximately March 2022 to March 2025, Laser submitted insurance claims to Blue KC for services that were never rendered. Specifically, she billed for patient visits and medical treatments on dates when she knew patients had not been to her office. Additionally, between October 2024 and March 2025, Laser used an individual's personal information to bill for treatments that the individual never received from her.
