Ex-Soldier Arrested After Incendiary Attack on New York Federal Building
A former U.S. Army soldier, Andrew Arrabaca, was taken into custody after setting off fireworks, starting a fire, and firing a pellet gun outside a federal building in New York City. The building houses an immigration court and other government offices. Arrabaca, who previously worked as a mechanic on Patriot missile systems, was apprehended by a security officer. He was found with various weapons, including a pellet gun, knives, axes, a hammer, and a machete. The FBI described Arrabaca as an anti-American, anti-government extremist. The incident resulted in minor injuries to three individuals, including a civilian and two government employees.
