U.K. Tech-Sharing Agreement Enhances Ukraine's Drone Capabilities Against Russia
The United Kingdom has entered a tech-sharing agreement with Ukraine, allowing the latter to produce a British-designed radar jammer, Stone Cloak, to enhance its drone strikes on Russian targets. Previously, Ukraine used British-built versions of the jammer, but the new agreement enables mass production, potentially increasing the effectiveness of Ukraine's drone operations. The announcement coincided with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's meeting with the U.K. Prime Minister at a naval base in Portsmouth. The collaboration is part of the annual Sea Breeze exercise, focusing on countering Russian air defenses. The Stone Cloak system is expected to improve mission success against Russian defenses, marking a significant step in the U.K.-Ukraine military partnership.
