Kongsberg Maritime Secures Major Contract for Indian Navy's Missile Vessels
Kongsberg Maritime has signed a significant contract to supply 18 large Kamewa waterjets for the Indian Navy's Next Generation Missile Vessel (NGMV) program. These waterjets are designed to provide exceptional speed and maneuverability, enhancing the performance of the naval operations. The NGMV fleet, currently under construction at Cochin Shipyard Limited, is a critical component of India's maritime defense strategy. This contract represents Kongsberg Maritime's largest single waterjet order to date, marking a notable return to large-scale waterjet manufacturing after a decade of relative inactivity. The delivery of these waterjets will be synchronized with the construction schedule of the NGMV at Cochin Shipyard.
