Bill Gates Ignored Warnings About Jeffrey Epstein, Gates Foundation Review Reveals
An independent review commissioned by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has revealed that Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and co-chair of the foundation, ignored repeated warnings from employees about the reputational risks of associating with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. The review, conducted by the law firm WilmerHale, involved interviews with over 50 current and former employees and examined the foundation's interactions with Epstein between 2011 and 2014. Despite concerns raised by staff about Epstein's 2008 conviction for child sex offenses, Gates and other senior leaders continued to meet with him. The review identified approximately 30 meetings between Epstein and Gates Foundation leaders, including Gates himself. These meetings, which took place at various locations including Epstein's Manhattan residence and the Gates Foundation's Seattle headquarters, were primarily focused on the potential creation of a donor-advised fund entity.
