Antrim County Considers Small Signage to Preserve Spring Cleanup Tradition
In Antrim County, Michigan, a long-standing tradition of spring cleanup is at risk due to concerns from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). For about 20 years, residents have placed unwanted items along roadsides, allowing others to pick through and find treasures. However, MDOT has raised issues about keeping trash out of the right-of-way, which could lead to the end of this community event. In response, one township is considering the use of small signs to encourage compliance and preserve the tradition.
