Annapolis Begins Construction on ADA-Compliant Floating Dock to Enhance Accessibility
Construction has commenced on a new ADA-compliant floating dock in Annapolis, Maryland, located at the end of 6th Street in Eastport on the Back Creek side. The project, expected to be completed in three weeks, is funded by a $350,000 grant from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, $65,000 in Annapolis bonds, and $25,000 in capital reserves. This dock will join two other ADA-compliant facilities in the city, enhancing accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The initiative is part of a broader effort by Anne Arundel County to improve public access to waterways.
