Richmond and Surrounding Counties Lift Voluntary Water Restrictions
The city of Richmond, along with Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, and Powhatan counties, has lifted voluntary water restrictions. This decision follows an increase in the James River's flow, which is now above conservation triggers as per the James River Regional Flow Management Plan. The lifting of restrictions indicates an improvement in water supply conditions, although officials will continue to monitor the situation and may reintroduce measures if necessary.
