Wawa Recalls Beverages in Philadelphia Area Due to Possible Milk Allergen
Wawa, a Pennsylvania-based convenience store chain, has issued a recall for four of its 16-ounce beverages due to a potential undeclared milk allergen. The affected products include Wawa Iced Tea Lemon, Wawa Iced Tea Diet Lemon, Wawa Diet Lemonade, and Wawa Fruit Punch. These drinks were distributed across a limited number of stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia. The recall was initiated after Wawa identified a temporary equipment issue that may have introduced milk into these beverages. The company has since removed the affected products from store shelves and disposed of them. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns that individuals with milk allergies could experience serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these products. As of now, no illnesses have been reported.
