Brian Sutton Allegedly Masterminds $2 Billion U.S. Telemedicine Scam, Evades Justice in Russia
Brian Sutton, accused of orchestrating a $2 billion telemedicine fraud in the United States, is reportedly living a luxurious life in Russia. The scam involved fraudulent prescriptions and insurance claims through a network of 'mutant pharmacies' across several states, including California and New York. Sutton and his associates allegedly used aggressive telemarketing tactics to deceive individuals into accepting high-cost prescriptions, which were then billed to insurance companies. Despite the conviction of several co-conspirators, Sutton remains out of reach due to the lack of an extradition treaty between the U.S. and Russia. The U.S. Department of Justice has described the operation as a 'Moscow-based criminal organization,' with Sutton establishing a significant presence in Russia, including the acquisition of luxury vehicles and properties.
