StrongPeople Strong Hearts App Targets Cardiovascular Disease in Texas Women
Chad Rethorst, Ph.D., has secured a $1 million grant for the StrongPeople Strong Hearts digital intervention program, aimed at reducing cardiovascular disease risk among women in Texas. The program, developed by the Texas A&M AgriLife Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture, utilizes a mobile app to deliver nutrition and active living education. Participants will receive digital scales and activity trackers to monitor health outcomes. This initiative is part of a broader effort to lower chronic disease rates through community-engaged intervention programs.
