Mary Caspers Trout Remembered for Her Impact on Education and Community
Mary Caspers Trout, a former elementary school teacher and community volunteer, passed away peacefully at her home in Gold Canyon, Arizona, on December 7, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Evanston, Illinois, on September 5, 1942, Mary dedicated 25 years of her life to teaching in various Illinois communities, including Brookfield, Countryside, and LaGrange. She was recognized for her contributions to education with the Golden Apple Award, highlighting her commitment to mentoring and supporting children. Beyond her teaching career, Mary was actively involved in community service, volunteering at the Brookfield Zoo Gift Store and coordinating youth activities at St. Cletus Church. Her legacy is cherished by her family, including her husband of 61 years, Richard Trout, her sons, and her grandchildren.
