Sudanese Sovereign Council Chairman Al-Burhan Addresses Media Forum, Discusses National Dialogue and UN Arms Embargo
Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, received recommendations from the Sudanese Media Forum in Khartoum. The forum, held from September 7-9, involved over 130 journalists and media professionals. Al-Burhan pledged to implement these recommendations and directed the formation of a follow-up committee. He reviewed Sudan's political and military events since the fall of the 'Ingaz' regime, stating the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) are committed to enabling free elections. He acknowledged mistakes by both the Armed Forces and civilian forces during the transitional period.
