New Orleans Career Center Team Recognized for Workforce Excellence in High-Demand Industries
The New Orleans Career Center (NOCC) has been honored for its significant contributions to workforce development in Southeast Louisiana. Five instructors and leaders from NOCC received regional and statewide recognition for their efforts in preparing students for careers in high-demand fields such as construction, healthcare, and technical trades. Since its inception in 2018, NOCC has trained over 3,100 high school students and young adults, equipping them with industry-recognized credentials. The center's curriculum is closely aligned with regional workforce needs, ensuring that students are well-prepared to enter the labor market. Key figures such as Claire Jecklin, NOCC's founding CEO, and Carlin Jacobs, the chief programs officer, have been instrumental in fostering partnerships and expanding career pathways for students.
