Man Wanted in Minnesota for Predatory Offender Registration Arrested in Mexico
Matias Polster, a man wanted in Stearns County, Minnesota, for failing to register as a predatory offender, has been apprehended in Mexico and is currently awaiting extradition back to the United States. According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Polster was taken into custody on Monday in the Celaya, Mexico area by the U.S. Marshals Service and Mexican authorities. A Stearns County deputy, who is part of the North Star Fugitive Task Force, was instrumental in tracking Polster to the Celaya area, which ultimately led to his arrest. Polster is now being held in Mexico as legal extradition procedures are underway to facilitate his return to Minnesota to face charges related to his failure to register as a predatory offender.
