Saudi Arabia Receives Wind Turbines to Boost Renewable Energy Projects
King Fahad Industrial Port in Yanbu has received a shipment of nine complete wind turbines, including major components and accessories, to support the development of the Starah and Shaqra wind energy projects in Saudi Arabia. This shipment, coordinated with the Ministry of Energy and relevant government entities, highlights the role of Saudi Arabia's ports in supporting large-scale renewable energy projects under the National Renewable Energy Program. The cargo included 27 wind turbine blades and various supplementary components required for power generation from wind energy. The shipment represents one of the largest wind energy consignments handled through the port, demonstrating its capability to manage oversized and heavy equipment associated with major energy infrastructure projects.
